This is because our consumers are really the ones calling the shots. We are in their service and seek to exceed their expectations. The team that we have, interacting with our consumers directly, are critical in delivering our goals and provide invaluable insight, ideas and perspective to the management team.
Management team
Our management team is absolutely focused on setting strategy as well as providing the people and process infrastructure to support the rest of the organization. Our management team has a diverse set of experiences, including deep experience in restaurant and service industries. That experience, combined with our focus on people and commitment to accountability for achieving better than average results, is what positions us to deliver consistent results.
Stephen Link
Operations Leader
Stephen started working for KFC in 2003, while still in high school, and joined The Sandhu Group in 2012. Across his nearly 20 years of experience, Stephen has learned much of our business from the ground up, often through rolling up his sleeves and learning how to get it done. He began as a Team Member and held a variety of positions including Cook, Shift Supervisor, Assistant Manager, General Manager, and Certified Training Manager. After improving the operations and sales of multiple locations throughout his experiences as Store Manager, he was promoted to Operations Leader in 2018.
Stephanie Owens
Operations Leader
Stephanie came to The Sandhu Group in 2015 after several years of owning her own business. Looking for a new challenge in an environment where she could focus on customer service and making people happy, she was initially hired as Team Member at a Subway location and was soon promoted to Store Manager. Stephanie has worked every position within the Subway franchise locations and managed individual stores. She leads by example and naturally loves going the extra mile to enhance customer experience, thus producing satisfied and returning customers. With her experience, knowledge and passion, she was a natural fit for Operations Leader in 2019.
Katie Wells
Human Resources Manager
Katie started her career right after graduating from Virginia Tech with BS in Business with concentration in Human Resource Management. She also has a PHR, Professional in Human Resource Certificate. She spent 14 years in various management and HR roles, understanding the operations of franchise businesses in other verticals before joining The Sandhu Group in 2017. With us, she has applied her extensive experience to develop systems and processes for tracking various metrics including reward and compensation, benefit selection and implementation, and management labor compliance. In addition, she has managed the process for the integration and onboarding of a new HRIS platform for the team. All this while also being an important contributor to ensuring that The Sandhu Group is a great place to work.
Manpreet Kaur
Staff Accountant
Manpreet joined The Sandhu Group in 2019 and brought with her over 12 years of Public Accounting experience across different industries. She is fluent in maintaining the general ledger, preparing our financial statements, reconciling accounts, and keeping our records and accounts payable systems well organized and managed. She has also led the development of our financial systems and controls. Manpreet is currently working towards her CPA while also finding time to enjoy with her husband and two kids.
P2 Sandhu
President + CEO
P2 grew up in and around this business and has always had a keen interest in his parents’ work. He started his first official position in the family’s company around the time that he entered the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, working in stores after high school. He then went on to study finance and real estate at VCU, joining the family business full time while working towards his degree. After almost 30 years, he is as interested in business as ever. In addition to leading The Sandhu Group, P2 is serving on the KFC Operations Excellence Committee for a second time. He has been a member of the local Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund board for 10 years and Board Chair for 5 years. P2 is also a member of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO). He has no intentions of retiring, but rather is highly engaged in finding the next great opportunities for the company.
